Submitting your Commercial Terms Follow
The first step in submitting your proposal for an RFx event is the commercial terms.
Once you have opened the sourcing event, click on the Commercial Terms tab of the event card to begin.
Reviewing Terms
Once you click on the Commercial Terms tab, the terms will appear below.
- At the top of the terms you will see a tab for each section of the terms, such as "Overview" and "Scope of Services."
- Click on a section and scroll down to review that portion of the terms and the requested responses.
Entering Your Responses
- Add your response for each term.
- Some terms will include a text box for you to indicate your response. If you agree, you can simply type "Agreed" or "Confirmed." If you cannot agree, please indicate what you cannot agree to and write an alternate term. For example, "We cannot agree to A and B, but we propose X and Y."
Keep in mind that excessive redlines may negatively impact consideration of your proposal. However, some redlines are expected, so including a reasonable number of them is not normally a problem.
- Other terms may only require that you select "Yes" or "No," or "Agree" or "Disagree."
- Some terms may require you to write out an explanation or other response.
- Most terms will require a response, though Buyers do have the option to set terms as optional.
Saving Your Responses
- Once you have entered your responses for a section, click Save to record your responses.
- Then click an additional section, review and respond to the terms of that section, and click Save to submit.
- A bubble will appear next to each section title indicating how many terms in that section still require a response.
- If one or more terms still requires a response, the bubble will be highlighted in red.
- The bubble will turn green, and a checkmark will appear, when all required responses for that section have been submitted.
- If one or more terms still requires a response, the bubble will be highlighted in red.
- Continue until all sections are complete. An alert box at the top of the Commercial Terms will indicate how many terms still need your response.
QUICK TIP: Your terms responses are required for a complete bid. Your bid will not be accepted as complete until every term that requires a response has been responded to.
QUICK TIP: Saving your responses records them in the system. They will not be shared with the Buyer until you complete your entire proposal and submit your bid.
